Before he was being interviewed on the Daily Show, William Kamkwamba was interviewed by all of you here on reddit. We received the footage (shot in Malawi) of his answers and just got it all edited and uploaded today.His remarkable story is recounted in his newly released book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. As someone who built a windmill at 14 from scrap metal based on a few foreign language textbooks he found; William is an inspiration. According to the interview with Jon Stewart, he's now preparing to apply for colleges and he's looking to come to the U.S.A.
I think this is all going to make for quite the application essay...
