PROGRAMMER The Programmer assists in developing and maintaining reddit.com and related projects. He/she is instrumental in helping a small, sharp, focused team stay on schedule with ambitious product development and introduction plans. The Programmer writes software code in high-level languages like Python, Perl, Ruby and/or Lisp. Additionally, this person performs system administration and database work from time to time.
The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 3 or more years experience, and can demonstrate mastery of these skills:
Python - or experience with other high-level languages like Perl, Ruby, or Lisp Unix/Linux (installing/maintaining web, dns, mail services, general system administration) HTML and other web development experience SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL experience
